Bossier City to host CBR bull riding event

Friday, January 11, 2013 - 5:08pm

The Eldorado Tuff Hedeman Louisiana Shootout presented by Landers, will be hosted at the Centurylink Center on January 12, 2013.

The CBR is introducing a new concept to bull riding; the “8 Second Format” and only a total of twenty-four cowboys are invited to ride in the “Road To Cheyenne Tour” events. Three PRCA World Champions, Wesley Silcox, JW Harris, and newly crowned Cody Teel along with CBR Champions Luke Kelley, Clayton Foltyn and 2012 World Champion, Louisiana native, Josh Barentine have all confirmed their attendance at the event.

During three rounds of competition, every qualified ride will be awarded cash money. Each round the competition will be cut down until there are only four remaining who will compete for the final pot of money, up to $30,000.

“This concept is completely new to the sport of bull riding and will surely add an exciting touch to an already,” said Gina Davis, who works for CBR marketing.

After the Bossier City Champion is crowned, fans will be treated to a concert by Nashville recording artist and hometown favorite, Frank Foster.
