City Council hears proposal
Sales tax increase for Mall St. Vincent in Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, La. (KMSS) — A sales tax was proposed to the Shreveport City Council yesterday in an effort to help give a local mall a major make-over.
The proposal which would increase the sales tax would be part of a plan to help revitalize Mall Saint Vincent in Shreveport, which according to residents has needed updating for some time now.
The tax increase would also be used to help with re-developing the area around the property.
The council plans to discuss more in detail at the next council meeting.
