1 wounded in overnight Shreveport shooting
Detectives are working an overnight shooting that left a Shreveport man nursing three gunshot wounds.
At approximately 7:12 p.m. on Wednesday, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Fulton Street relative to a reported shooting. Upon arrival there, patrolmen located 34 year old Clifford Mosely suffering from gunshot wounds to his left buttock and both legs. Mosely was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Moments later responding officers learned the shooting had actually taken place in the 4900 block of Rightway Avenue. Upon further investigation, officers discovered Mosely had driven to Rightway Avenue to confront another male subject relative to an ongoing dispute between the two men. According to preliminary information gathered, Mosely produced a handgun during the altercation and was subsequently shot by another man there.
Detectives are still immersed in the investigation and are working at this time to locate and interview possible witnesses to this shooting. They will be working with the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office as well to determine what charges, if any, should be filed against those involved in this incident.
