Shreveport Police detectives are looking for a local teenager wanted for shooting a man last week.

At approximately 6:09 p.m. on November 22, 2010, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Poland Street relative to a shooting. Upon arrival there, officers discovered that 22 year old Kevin Bivens had been shot once in the right leg. Bivens was transported to Schumpert Medical Center in a private vehicle before the officers arrived on scene. The wound was described as non-life-threatening.

Detectives were immediately dispatched and learned that Bivens was approached by 17 year old Decoreyon Reed and the two men became involved in some type of dispute. During this altercation, Reed produced a firearm and shot at Bivens several times, striking him once in the leg. Reed then fled the scene of the crime.
Detectives have now obtained an arrest warrant charging Decoreyon Reed, of the 1600 block of Malcolm Street in Shreveport, with one count of aggravated battery. Reed's bond is set at $50,000. Investigators believe Reed should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Decoreyon Reed is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at (318)673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at (318)673-7373.
