Bossier City man viciously attacks ex-girlfriend, other man

Bossier City police arrested a Bossier City man on murder charges after he rammed his SUV into his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle and then attacked the woman and another man with a knife.

Police arrested 55-year old Richard Bell Jr. of Bossier City on two counts of attempted first degree murder.

It happened around 2 p.m. in the 1800 block of Scott Street. Authorities say Bell rammed his SUV multiple times into his 36-year old ex-girlfriend’s vehicle as she was driving down Scott Street. Bell then confronted a 35-year old man who was riding in the vehicle and attacked him with a baseball bat, hitting him in the head and stabbing him in the neck with a knife. Bell then cut the woman in her back several times before leaving the scene in his SUV.

A Bossier City police officer spotted a vehicle fitting the description of Bell’s SUV and stopped it three blocks from the scene on McCall Street. Bell was arrested booked into the Bossier City Jail.

The victimes injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
