Bossier woman to sing "God Bless America" at World Series

A Bossier City woman, who will have the honor of singing “God Bless America” during the seventh inning stretch of Monday's Game 5 of Major League Baseball’s World Series, will receive special recognition from the City of Bossier City.

Mayor Lorenz Walker will present a Certificate of Recognition to Mollie Walton Corbett during Tuesday's regular meeting of the Bossier City Council. Mrs. Corbett is the wife of United States Air Force TSGT Charles Corbett and will represent members and spouses of our nation’s military in performing this most treasured national song during Game 5 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas.

Mayor Walker will present the Certificate of Recognition to Mrs. Corbett during the “Ceremonial Matters” portion of tomorrow’s City Council meeting, which begins at 3 p.m. in the City Council chambers at the Bossier City Municipal Complex, 620 Benton Road.
