VALLEY RANCH, TX (FOX44) - Former LSU Tiger Morris Claiborne is getting his first taste of professional football.
The Shreveport native is now just a couple hours from home playing for the Dallas Cowboys.
Claiborne is still recovering from wrist surgery to repair torn ligaments. His hard cast is off and now he is wearing a removable brace that allows the All-American to go through light conditioning drills.
"I don't like it but I know that it's what’s best for me and what's best for my team. I'm not trying to rush it. I'm just going to take my time and do what the trainers have me doing in the meantime.I got to have this on for two more weeks and then go to therapy from there,” Claiborne said.
He is not expected to practice with the team until the beginning of training camp.
