Council votes no confidence over airport director

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 - 6:17pm

The Shreveport City Council gave a thumbs down to Shreveport Airport Director Roy Miller.

A 5-2 majority voted no confidence in Miller, who sat in the back of the room during the debate and vote.

Councilman Monty Walford expressed short-comings and financial mismanagement.

Miller was fired several weeks ago by Council President Joyce Bowman. Mayor Cedric Glover was out of town during the fire, but was then reinstated by the mayor upon his return.

No word yet on his current position with the airport.
