Shreveport police detectives are investigating a purse snatching that occurred over the weekend at a downtown casino.

Shreveport officers received a report of a purse snatching just after 2:00 a.m. outside of the Eldorado Casino in the 400 block of Clyde Fant Parkway. Upon arrival, police contacted the victim who said she was standing near the valet area when a man suddenly appeared and took her purse. Then, the man jumped into the passenger side of a waiting SUV and drove away. The victim was not injured.

Investigators describe the suspect as a white male with several tattoos on his right arm. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans and a striped cap. The get-away vehicle looks like a two door maroon SUV with duct tape on a rear passenger side window. Detectives are releasing surveillance images of the suspect and the vehicle in hopes that someone out there will recognize the man.

Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers is offering a $400 reward to anyone who can provide information regarding the identity of this suspect. Contact them at 318-673-7373 with any information regarding this case.
