“With Thanksgiving upon us and Christmas approaching, I want to remind everyone of the joy of the holiday season,” said Sheriff Larry Deen. “However, stress levels tend to increase during this time of year, often leading to tension in the home and arguing and fighting. Alcohol and drugs tend to accentuate the problem. People need to learn to stop, walk away, and seek counsel from a friend, pastor or counselor, before a situation escalates to the point of violence or even deadly.”
