The estranged boyfriend of Rashonda Taylor is behind bars this morning charged with killing her and her mother.
Detectives arrested 35-year-old Keith D. Martin of Shreveport early this morning and booked him into the Shreveport City Jail on two counts of first degree murder. Based on information gathered during an in-depth investigation, including witness statements and physical evidence, detectives believe that Martin shot and killed Rashonda Taylor and her mother, Linda Taylor, at the home where they lived in the 4100 block of Baxter Street in west Shreveport.
Chief of Police Willie Shaw lauded the arrest, saying, “Our detectives have literally worked without rest to solve this case and put the man we believe is responsible for this heinous crime behind bars where he belongs. These tragic murders have touched us all and hopefully this arrest can bring some sense of closure for the Taylor family as they struggle to cope with this unimaginable loss.”
