A few dollars of debt fueled one man to crash a pick-up truck into another man's Bossier City home over the weekend.
Neighbors told us that one neighbor heard a loud crash down the street from her home and looked outside her window to see a pick-up truck had crashed into a house. Bossier City police responded to the house in the 3000 block of Jamie Street on Saturday afternoon. When officers arrived, they found a large hole in the front of the house and a man identified as Randal Gatti sitting inside a pick-up truck in the driveway with the engine still running.
Upon questioning Gatti, officers learned that Gatti intentionally rammedthe pick-up truck into the home multiple times, one right after the other, said Mark Natale, Bossier City Police Department Public Information Officer. Gatti told police that he was trying to get revenge on the man who lives at the house because the man owed $15 to Gatti.
As a result, Gatti caused several thousand dollars worth of damages to the house and the pick-up truck, which belonged to a relative. Authorities say that they do not believe Gatti had intentions of harming the man, but just wanted to harm the man's house. They do not believe that Gatti was impaired at the time of the incident.
Gatti was booked into the Bossier City Jail and charged with criminal property damage and unauthorized use of a vehicle since he did not have his relative's permission to drive the pick-up truck.
