Police detectives are looking for two suspects who allegedly shot a man in west Shreveport last night during a possible robbery attempt.

At 3:30 a.m. Tuesday Shreveport police officers were called to a shooting on the 5100 block of Monkhouse Drive. When officers arrived, they found 55-year old Kerry Thomas suffering from a gunshot wound to the right shoulder. Thomas initially told officers that two men approached him while he sat in a vehicle on Monkhouse Drive and asked him for money. One of the men then pulled a gun and shot him. Thomas was taken to a local hospitalwith non-life threatening injuries.

Thomas told investigators an inconsistent story with the first story he gave to responding officers. Detectives are working at this time to determine exactly how Thomas came to be injured. Anyone with any information regarding this shooting is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
