Wednesday, December 7, 2011 - 11:40am

Bossier City Police arrested a man Tuesday night following a stabbing at the Homewood Courtyard Apartments in the 700 block of Wanda Street.

Officers arrested 60-year-old Herman Allen Levy of Bossier City on a charge of aggravated battery for stabbing 53-year old Charles Ray Alexander with a knife inside Alexander’s apartment.

Police were called to the scene at around 5 p.m. Tuesday and made contact with Levy who was standing outside the apartment. When officers entered the apartment, they found Alexander with cuts to his neck and arm. Bossier City fire officials took Alexander to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

Levy was taken into custody and arrested for the stabbing. Levy was booked into the Bossier City Jail and later taken to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.

Detectives learned Levy had just moved in with Alexander hours before the stabbing. The motive for the stabbing remains unknown.
