Wednesday, August 4, 2010 - 6:05pm

A memorial took place for the six teenagers who drowned in the Red River Monday.

Shreveport and Bossier City residents made their way to the beach at Hamel Memorial Park, where mourners walked the path lined with trees to the spot of the drownings.

People came to give prayers along the waters edge, while others brought personal mementos to toss into the water.
