Officials searching for Shreveport runaway

Friday, September 23, 2011 - 3:10pm

Shreveport police detectives need your help finding a teenage girl who has apparently run away from home.

On Thursday officers were sent to a house in the 3300 block of Red Bud Lane on a runaway child call. Upon arrival, the child’s father told them his 13-year old daughter, Taylor Waters, had been taken to Huntington High School just before 7:30 a.m. that morning, but never came back home after school.

Taylor is described as a white female, about five feet four inches tall, weighing approximately 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue Old Navy sweater, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. She has brown eyes and blonde hair.

Detectives do not believe Taylor has been the victim of any foul play, but they are concerned and want to get her back home safely. Anyone who has any information regarding Taylor Waters or her whereabouts is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-7020 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
