As crews work to cleanup the nasty spill, many are starting to get sick.
Seven fishermen were taken to the hospital in Marrero Wednesday, two of the men arrived by ambulance and one by helicopter. All three were on the same boat working on the cleanup in Venice.
They all sought treatment after coming in contact with dispersant. Among their symptoms were dizziness, headaches and difficulty breathing.
Hospital officials say they are all in stable condition, but friends say this never should have happened.
British Petroleum continues to dump the same chemicals into the ocean to break up the ooze, claiming there is no better alternative.
