Police continue search for wanted robber

Bossier City police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred last month. David Dewayne Jones, 43, of Bossier City is wanted on a warrant charging him with simple robbery. Bond is set at $50,000.

On August 26 Jones enter the 17-year old victim’s car in a parking lot in the 2100 block of Airline Drive and had him drive to Mission Village Apartments where Jones robbed the teen of an undisclosed amount of money. Jones then fled the area on foot. The victim was not injured.

Jones is a black male, 5’9” and 180 pounds. Anyone with information about Jones is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100 or detectives at (318) 741-8626. They can also submit a web or text tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers Website – www.bossiercrimestoppers.org. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to a $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
