Police looking for convenience store robber

Shreveport Police need your help in identifying and apprehending a suspect who tried to rob a mid-city convenience store Wednesday morning.

At approximately 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported attempted armed robbery at the Circle K in the 2700 block of Lakeshore Drive. A witness told investigators that a male suspect wearing a Halloween mask entered the store armed with a black handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect suddenly fled the scene of the crime before receiving any loot. No one was injured in the attempted robbery.

Detectives are now releasing surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for your help in identifying the man. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately five feet seven inches tall weighing about 140 pounds.
