Police need your help in identifying and apprehending a suspect who robbed a west Shreveport hotel last night.

At approximately 10:48 p.m. last night, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Courtyard Marriott in the 6000 block of Financial Plaza. A witness told investigators that a black male suspect approximately five feet ten inches tall, about 160 pounds wearing a large straw hat, a long sleeved shirt, dark colored sweat pants and gardener’s gloves entered the hotel and demanded money from the night clerk. When the employee did not respond promptly, the suspect placed his hand in his pocket and acted as if he had a weapon. The suspect subsequently received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene of the crime in what has been described as a gold or champagne colored sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry. No one was injured during this robbery.

Detectives are working at this time to acquire surveillance video of the robbery. Anyone who has any information regarding this case is urged to call Shreveport Police robbery investigators at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
