Former Shreveport mayoral aide, Rick Seaton, appeared in a Caddo District courtroom this morning for his arraignment.
The fired aide entered not guilty pleas to forcible rape and abuse of office charges.
Seaton was fired in December hours after he was accused of raping an 18-year-old woman at Government Plaza the night of the Independence Bowl.
This morning, Judge Ramona Emanuel approved the prosecution's request for a protective order against Seaton. This order prohibits Seaton from having access to the contact information of the victim.
Seaton is due back in court on May 24.
