Rodessa man turns self in after kidnap at knife-point
A Rodessa man was taken into custody by Caddo officials Friday morning on two counts of aggravated kidnapping.
Irvin Peterson, 22, arranged through Facebook and text messages to meet the victim to loan her money. The victim asked her aunt to ride along while she met Peterson at his home in Rodessa around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Once there, Peterson got in the back seat of the victim’s car and produced a knife. He grabbed the front seat the victim's aunt around the neck and ordered the victim to drive. After driving a short distance, the victim pulled into a driveway, and Peterson fled from the vehicle. The two women then called 911 and began honking their horn and yelling for help.
Peterson turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office around 11 p.m. Thursday night and was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
