Sanitation workers protest working conditions

Monday, June 21, 2010 - 5:06pm

50 Shreveport sanitation workers left their job to protest on Friday.

The move was designed to show their dissatisfaction with working conditions.

Most of the complaints deal with the lack of air-conditioning in their trucks, which combined with the heat and humidity, makes for an awful work day.

Many of the workers met with city administrators Monday to begin working out a solution.
