Louisiana wildlife is taking a heavy hit due to the Gulf spill.
Marine birds have especially been burdened by the massive spill and wildlife centers have been doing their best to find and rescue them.
At the Fort Jackson Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, officials and volunteers demonstrated how they rehabilitate oiled birds and release them back into the wild.
The birds are washed until their tub of water is free of oil and are also fed a rehydration solution through a tube.
States working to restore the oiled birds include: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
