Tip leads to methamphetamine bust

Sheriff Steve Prator and Chief Willie Shaw are pleased to announce that the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit has collared a suspected drug dealer.

On Wednesday August 25, 2010, agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit were conducting an investigation after receiving a tip from a Caddo Parish Constable that a suspect identified as 35 year old John Michael Eason of the 5700 block of Jefferson Paige Road was reported to be in possession of items used in the manufacture of a clandestine methamphetamine lab. During a search of the residence there on Jefferson Paige Road, agents discovered numerous chemicals, equipment and items typically associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine as well as approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine.

Eason was subsequently charged with possession of items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
