Two arrested Killeen shooting

This case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s office charging Keith Issac Douglas, 28, with Manslaughter and Roddrick Darnell Thomas, 21, with Tampering with Evidence.

The victim in this case has been identified as Mwata M. Martin, 31. Detectives have made an arrest and the case is pending review by the Bell County District Attorney’s office for formal charges.


On Thursday at about 2:30 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of East Bryce Avenue in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious man on the ground outside the building suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to Darnell Hospital where the 31-year-old black male adult was pronounced deceased.

Officers and detectives are still on scene conducting the investigation and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
