Warrant out for Shreveport shooting suspect

Police are searching for a Shreveport man in connection with a shooting that happened last week.

At approximately 7:32 p.m. on Tuesday, Shreveport officers were called to the 5800 block of Kennedy Drive to a report of gunshots being fired in that area. Upon arrival, patrolmen found several witnesses to the incident and learned that a known suspect had allegedly fired numerous shots during the course of some kind of altercation. No one was at the scene of the crime was injured.

19-year old Ladarrell Jefferson was identified as the suspect by detective. An arrest warrant was issued yesterday afternoon charging Jefferson with one count of illegal use of a weapon.

Ladarrell Jefferson is described as a black male approximately six feet tall, weighing about 175 pounds and detectives believe he should be considered armed and dangerous.
