Number of imparied drivers low in city
SHREVEPORT, La. — New Year's is one of the larger holidays where more people tend to consume alcohol and, unfortunately, drive.
But according to Shreveport police that number was actually low this New Year’s holiday.
“There were three arrests made city wide for intoxicated drivers across the city,” said Cpl. Marcus Hines. “The number was actually low and that’s a good thing, that means drivers are getting the message,” he said.
Shreveport police say that just because the holiday is over doesn’t mean that they will stop cracking down on imparied drivers.
