SHREVEPORT, La. (KMSS) — Citizens from around Shreveport and Bossier City will get their chance to voice their opinions and concerns at a local conference that will be held in Shreveport tomorrow.
The State of Black Shreveport will host a conference tomorrow between 9 a.m till 3 p.m at the Riverview Hall in downtown port city.
People from all around the City will come out to discuss vital issues pertaining to the economy, leadership and education.
"What the conference is doing is bringing together the community to have a conversation about where do we go and how do we get where we need to be, how do we address economic development and how do we address jobs and education," said Lloyd Thompson who is the President of the NAACP in Shreveport and strong supporter of the event.
The event will be free to the public.
