Bossier City — Cold weather can be hard on a lot of things.

One of them is your car.

A local mechanic in Bossier City says business has been non-stop ever since the cold weather hit.

He's says.... most people want their anti-freeze and tire pressure checked.

He also offers some advice to drivers... to help keep your car.... in the best condition possible.

" Make sure it's protected up to negative 20, negative 50 degrees, you know you need that protection level because if not it will end up cracking a radiator, you know, because all that is is plastic," said jacob adams.

Adams also says make sure you have a good mix of washer fluid so the bottle doesn't crack and maintain proper water levels in the battery to lessen its chances of the battery dying.
