BOSSIER CITY — A grand jury will decide next month to exonerate or charge a Bossier City police officer Kary Szyska with murder.
A police report states officer Syska shot Scott Gray, 42, during a fist fight between Gray and Sergeant Todd Hylbert. Allegedly Gray grabbed for Hylbert's gun and Szyska shot him.
A lawyer for Gray's family says a witness to the incident said Gray didn't grab for the Hylber's gun.
Bossier Parish District Attorney Schuyler Marvin says he doesn't believe the incident fits the guidelines for any homicide charges, but will present the case to the grand jury.
