Law enforcement strictens boot law
SHREVEPORT — Shreveport officials have lowered the number of downtown parking tickets before the vehicle can become impounded.
Currently, vehicles with license plates connected to three or more overdue fines can get booted.
Soon, cars and trucks will only need to have at least one citation that is unpaid for 60 days. During the mean time, parking police can put a lock on a wheel.
The proposal will become a law only when the mayor signs it, which can take a few weeks.
