Tuesday, September 29, 2009 - 3:13pm

The State of Louisiana Streamline Government Commission continues its "listening tour" in Shreveport.

The goal of the tour is to get input from citizens on ways to reduce the cost of the state government.

The meetings are held in an open format to encourage a response from the citizens of Louisiana.

Senator Jack Donahue is the chair of the event.

He says, he believes the people of Louisiana run the state of Louisiana, and without their input, nothing can be accomplished.

The tour will make its next stop in Lake Charles tomorrow.
