LOUISIANA - The governor's office of Homeland Security and Emergency Prepardness has activated its Crisis Action Team to monitor and respond to winter weather hazards.
The team will be in constant communication with the National Weather Service, as well as state and local agencies. The team is ready to help coordinate efforts to get state resources where they need to be.
The team says just like any other state emergency, it Is still one of their top priorities to keep everyone in Louisiana informed.
Officials are encouraging people to pay attention to local news and weather forecasts throughout this cold spell.
