Authorities cracking down on 'fake weed'
A 'fake weed' is being sold as herbal incense, but people are smoking it like marijuana.
People are saying it has similar effects to pot, and now state lawmakers are trying to crack down on it.
The incense is currently legal and can be found in convenience stores and head shops all over the state. It's made from a mix of herbs and spices, sprayed with a chemical similar to THC, which is the chemical in marijuana that gets people high.
The House of Representatives voted unanimously Tuesday to prohibit the manufacturing, sale or possession of the combined spices and herbs found in the incense.
