Operation Hero teaches real life deployment excercises

Children of Air Force parents being deployed to combat zones got a playful but accurate experience of what it's like for their fathers and mothers to go to war.

Operation Hero is a child friendly deployment excercise that took place at Barksdale Air Force Base.

The event had 130 children and their Air Force parents attending Saturday morning.

Youngsters from teenagers to toddlers got to wear chemical warfare suits and run an obstacle course.
