1 person killed in Shreveport home invasion

Police are still looking for the man suspected of shooting 22-year-old Duntavious Young over the weekend.

It was just after six o'clock in the morning when police responded to a shooting in the 3000 block of Amherst Street in the Sunset Acres neighborhood of Shreveport.

Young, know to friends as "Heavy D", was alseep when an intruder came in and demanded money. There was a struggle, and Young was shot.

After hearing a loud noise, neighbor John Wafer went outside to investigate. After finding Young's body on the lawn in a pool of blood, Wafer had his wife call 911.

Authorities took Young to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe that Young knew the suspect and was targeted.
