$1,000 reward offered in fatal shooting of 2 Desoto Parish pets

Authorities are offering a reward to help solve the death of two dachshunds that were shot dead in Desoto Parish.

According to Desoto Parish Captain Pat Jones, the owner offered a $1,000 reward to anyone who can help lead deputies to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the death of the dogs.

The owner's pets were found dead on his property on Murphrey Road in the Stanley Community over the span of several months.

There are no suspects at this time.
