Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with an overnight robbery in Shreveport.

On Monday around 9:20 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a robbery in the 8500 block of Youree Drive.

When officials arrived, they spoke with a man who said he had offered to sell his mobile phone on Craigslist. After being contacted by a potential buyer, the victim agreed to meet the buyer in a parking lot on Youree Drive. When the victim arrived, two suspects approached the man wanting to see the phone. The seller agreed and one of the alleged thieves grabbed the phone from the victim's hand and the two suspects ran away.

Moments later, the victim saw the robbers had listed the stolen phone for sale on Craigslist. The victim posed as a buyer and arranged to meet the suspects at a local store in the 1600 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop and also notified authorities of the development.

Patrolmen responded to the store and located the suspects, where it was discovered that they still had possession of the victim’s phone at the time of arrest.

Law enforcement arrested Lorenzo Huglon, 18, of Shreveport, and took him into custody, without incident, to the Shreveport City Jail. The other alleged robber, a 16-year-old male, was transferred to the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center. Both were charged with one count of simple robbery.
