$64 arrest warrant leads to much bigger arrest
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — While attempting to serve a $64 warrant for a traffic violation, Shreveport City Marshal's Office arrested 3 men on various weapons and guns charges.
When deputies went to the 430 block of Lakeshore Drive in Shreveport, they heard a baby crying and were about to break down the door when it opened.
Once it was open, the deputies smelled marijuana, which gave them cause to search the apartment. After searching the apartment, they found 7 grams of suspected marijuana, along with approximately 1 gram of counterfeit crack cocaine. At least five firearms were found, including a fully loaded SKS assault rifle. Authorities also found a digital scale and small clear plastic zipper bags, leading them to believe the suspects may have been planning on selling the drugs.
The Marshal's Office arrested 24 year old Chazmon Marshall, 25 year old Tradalous Marshall and 23 year old Michael Smith. Smith and Chazmon Marshall are both convicted felons and were charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of schedule I narcotic with intent to distribute, possession of schedule II counterfeit controlled dangerous substance, possession a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tradalous Marshall was charged with all but being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
