Shreveport LA (KMSS) — Its New Years Eve and area bars and grills are gearing up for one of the busiest days of the year.
Workers at Strange Brew in Shreveport expect a high turn out tonight as people ring in the New Year. They also say that New Years Eve is when most people support local bars that they are familiar with.
“People come out in full force for New Years Eve and I think it’s so great for Shreveport-Bossier especially. We have people in town for the Independence Bowl and so many people coming to help us celebrate here," said Joey Robinson.
Shreveport Police is also warning residents not to drink and drive after leaving celebrations in the area.
