Three local men are facing multiple counts of armed robbery this morning following their arrest last night in Shreveport.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Robbery Intervention Detail along with Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, have arrested three Shreveport men after the trio was allegedly caught in the act of robbing a Shreveport business last night. At approximately 11:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Outback Steakhouse in the 8800 block of Line Avenue after an employee of the business reported that three armed men entered the restaurant and robbed the business around closing time. The suspects ambitions however; were quickly foiled when members of the Robbery Intervention Detail disrupted their scheme. The suspects, following being blanketed by authorities, engaged in a brief, yet ill fated vehicle pursuit with officials that ended shortly thereafter with the arrest of the three armed men.

The investigation into last night's arrest along with the possibility of additional charges for similar crimes throughout the city still exist, as investigators are in the very early stages of their inquiry. Complete details related to this investigation will be forthcoming as authorities continue to piece together bits of evidence.
