SHREVEPORT, La. (KMSS) — Although not the figure they would like, Shreveport Police Department is please with the number of arrests they were forced to make during Saturday's Krewe of Centaur parade.
They were only forced to make 17 arrests at the parade this year, a figure that is down from 2012. Most of the arrests were alcohol related, from public intoxication to one man trying to climb aboard a float.
They hope that the 2014 parade results in even less arrests, not because they plan to be more lenient, but because people are able to enjoy the parade without causing any problems.
