A local man has been charged with robbing another person at gunpoint in Shreveport's Caddo Heights neighborhood last month.

At 2:44 p.m., on January 26, officers were called to a robbery that had been reported at a home in the 1700 block of Alma Street. Upon arrival, patrolmen talked to the victim who claimed two suspects, one allegedly armed with a handgun, robbed him during a business exchange involving a cellphone.

The armed suspect reportedly forced the victim to hand over his phone and other items. The gunman then ordered the complainant to leave.

Detectives were able to develop Dennis Small, 17, of Shreveport, as a suspect in the crime and on last Friday, obtained a warrant for his arrest. Small, of Shreveport, is charged with one count of armed robbery. His bail is set at $75,000.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Dennis Small is urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or on their website at www.lockemup.org
