Bossier City, La — The Bossier City Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Bureau will teach a life saving lesson to children and their parents at Bossier Central Library next week. Fire prevention officers will present their fire safety program on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 beginning at 11 a.m. in the library’s History Center Meeting Room during Family Story Time.
The program is open specifically to home schooled children up to age 12 and their parents. The program mirrors the fire safety lesson BCFD teaches annually in Bossier Parish schools and covers such topic as calling 911, fire escape plans, smoke detectors and stop, drop and roll.
The library is located at 2206 Beckett Street in Bossier City.
