Bossier Parish, LA (KMSS) — The Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District 1, Bossier Parish, will continue to have a boil advisory for Dogwood Subdivision, with the expeceptionof Units 13-16 in Dogwood South Subdivision.
This advisory was issued due to a loss of pressure that occurred last night, June 24, 2013. Water samples were taken as required by Louisiana Department of Health and Hopsitals and Office of Public Health. These samples are expected to be cleared around noon tomorrow, June 26, 2013.
If the samples are cleared the advisory will be lifted immediately.
It is reccommeneded that all consumers need to disinfect their water befor drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, using it for food preparation, or rinsing of foods by the follow means:
Boil your water for one full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.)
Please be sure to disinfect your own water prior to consumption until you have been advised otherwise.
