Bossier City man arrested for stabbing brother with a roofing knife
Bossier City, LA (KMSS) — A Bossier City man is behind bars after stabbing his brother.
Bossier City Police were called this morning for a man who had stabbed his brother with a roofing knife during an altercation.
Julio Cesa, 28, of Bossier City was arrested on the charge of aggravated battery after stabbing Marvin Mendez, 39, of Shreveport outside of Cesa's home in the 600 block of McDade Street.
The incident happened late night Saturday but police were not notified of the stabbing until 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Mendez had called a relative from Teague Parkway just north of McDade Street stating that he had been stabbed.
That's when Mendez's relative called the police.
Mendez was found at a scenic overlook and was taken to a local hospital with what was determined a non-life threatening injury to his stomach.
Officers found Cesa at his home and took him into custody and booked into Bossier City Jail. He was also charged with possession of marijuana.
