Bossier Parish, La (KMSS) — Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington visited Rusheon Middle School this morning to receive a big donation for Operation Blessing.
Rusheon along with Kerr Elementary and Bossier High School have been competing to see who can donate the most canned goods to the program. All together the schools were able to accumulate over 4,000 food items.
“Just the heart of these kids, just knowing they want to help and go through this much trouble and expense of collecting food and bringing it to school just warms your heart,” said Whittington.
The program is expected to feed over 500 families this holiday season.
