Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office offering Senior Citizens Academy

The Caddo Sheriff's Office will be holding a Senior Citizen's Academy in January to familiarize citizens with the operations of the Sherrif's Office and provide informatoin on crime trends that affect them.

The event will begin January 8-9, 2014 and will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Caddo Sheriff's Re-Entry Facility at 11231 Forum Drive in Shreveport.

Deputies will address areas including identity theft, scams, fraud, victim reparations, current drug trends, how to file and obtain an incident or accident report, and what to do if you are involved in an incident.

Legal Services of North Louisiana will also give a presentation on estate, will planning, and creating Power of Attorney.

The academy is free and lunch is provided.
