SHREVEPORT, La. (KMSS) — The Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation is receiving two grants to help with downtown development.
The nonprofit arm of the Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation has been awarded $100,000 by The Community Foundation of North Louisiana.
$25,000 was given to help fund a market study of Shreveport Common, the proposed 9-block art and culture district on the western edge of downtown.
DSDC is thrilled by this very tangible expression of interest in our historic downtown by The Community Foundation,” says DSDC Executive Director Liz Swaine.
$75,000 was awarded for a program called Develop Downtown, an incentive program designed to help save historic downtown structures.
